Victor Villegas, Technology and Media Support Coordinator for Oregon State University Extension will present on tools and technologies that can be used to provide information in different languages online, including real-time interpreting in Zoom. He will also cover best practices for language interpretation and translation.

Victor Villegas is the Technology & Media Support Coordinator for Oregon State University Extension. His specializes in online digital technologies and acts as a bridge between IT and end users and has a knack for being able to translate “geek-speak” into normal language, explaining technology in simple to understand terms anyone can understand. Villegas has a passion for youth STEAM education and is an advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion and is fully bilingual and bicultural. He is more widely known as DroneSinger, world’s #1 creator of parody songs about drones. He uses drones, music, humor, robots, puppetry and ventriloquism for K-12 STEAM outreach and engagement, especially with under-served, under-represented youth. He has previously served as Professional Development Director for ACE.
